A WHITE JADE MYTHICAL BEAST-FORM SNUFF BOTTLE
QING DYNASTY (1644-1911)
The stone is carved in the round as a recumbent beast with large pointed ears and hair combed neatly on both sides of the spine, its tail flicked to one side and its mouth pierced as the opening of the bottle. The stone is of an even milky white tone with a concentrated area of faint russet on the underside.
2 1/2 in. (5.2 cm.) long, box
