With 39 ¼ in. (99.5 cm.) slender swamped three-stage barrel engraved with a spray of rococo foliage at the breech, border and scroll engraved grooved tang, signed engraved flat bevelled paktong lock with stepped tail and roller (cock repaired), well figured walnut half-stock with two-part butt and carved with a rococo shell in low relief behind the barrel-tang, scroll engraved iron joining plates at the wrist, paktong mounts engraved with rococo ornament including trigger-guard with acorn finial, and ebonised ramrod with ivory tip, London proof marks
