A CREAMY WHITE-GLAZED SEATED FIGURE OF GUANYIN
PROBABLY DEHUA, 19TH-20TH CENTURY
The crackle-glazed Bodhisattva is modelled in a relaxed pose with one leg bent at the knee, holding a scroll in her right hand. She is dressed in long flowing robes and her hair is fastened in an elaborate knot held by a ruyi-form hairpin. The reverse is impressed with an apocryphal He Chaozong mark within a double gourd.
