A SET OF TWELVE FAMILLE ROSE PORCELAIN PANELS MOUNTED AS A FIVE-FOLD SCREEN
19TH-20TH CENTURY
Ten of the panels depict varying figural scenes in day and night time, including a boy fighting a tiger, scholarly figures below bamboo, a warrior outside palace walls, and an erotic scene of two lovers beside a bed. There are two horizontal blue-ground panels to the centre section decorated with lotus scrolls. The screens are mounted within a hardwood five-fold screen.
