AN IRON RED AND GILT-DECORATED VASE
KANGXI PERIOD (1662-1722)
The vase is decorated to the body with ruyi-form designs containing floral scrolls and leafy tendrils, all above several flower sprays. The neck is decorated with a band of stiff leaves and the foot with four Daoist emblems within cartouches. The base is painted with a double circle in underglaze blue.
