Cal. 18SMCRV nickel-finished lever movement, 25 jewels, bimetallic compensation balance, micrometer regulator, minute repeating on two polished steel hammers, gold cuvette, gilt dial, Breguet numerals, outer five minute divisions, blued steel moon-style hands, two subsidiary dials for 30 minutes register and constant seconds, circular case, engraved initials WHA to the back, repeating slide in the band, split seconds chronograph mechanism operated through button in the band and through the crown, case numbered by maker, cuvette and movement signed and numbered by maker, dial signed by retailer

Lot Essay

According to the Archives of Audemars Piguet, the fabrication of the present watch started in 1911. It was finished and sold to their New York branch in 1914.
