Cal. 23-300 circular mechanical movement stamped twice with the Geneva seal, bark-finish eccentric gold dial, black baton numerals, in similarly textured asymmetrical case, snap on back stamped JG for J. Guillermin and with French gold assay marks, associated 18K gold chain, case, dial and movement signed

Lot Essay

With Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present pendant watch with gold chain in 1963 and its subsequent sale on 3 June 1964.

This "Ricochet" watch is a rare example of this celebrated series, originally sold with a gold chain. Its case back is stamped by Patek Philippe's celebrated retailer J. Guillermin in Paris. Fresh to the market and in very appealing original condition it is believed to be one of only eight examples of reference 788/4 to appear in public to date.
