and pierced domed cover with kiku finial and upright handles issuing from the shoulder, painted and gilt with panels of birds in flight and perched on wisteria branches and figures seated in a tree strewn landscape all on a geometric pattern ground, the underside with scattered kiku heads -- 4¾in. (12cm) diam, signed, (gilt rubbing).
