Lot Essay

See previous lot. A copy after a sheet from a travel journal by Vincent Laurensz. van der Vinne (Sliggers, op. cit.). Van der Vinne made this journal during his travels from 1652 to 1655 through Germany, Switzerland and France. Like the drawing in the previous lot, the present drawing was most likely made by a member of the van der Vinne family.
