AN ATTRACTIVE COPY OF THE FIRST EDITION CONTAINING AN ORIGINAL WATERCOLOUR BY ROWLANDSON of the plate ‘Que Genus attends on a Sporting Finale’. Abbey describes this work as ‘the last of the genuine or ‘authorized’ Syntax books’. It was also to be his last work for Ackermann. Abbey Life 268 (in parts); Tooley 413.
