MARK OF ANDREAS FRIEDRICH STEMLER, AUGSBURG, 1747-1749
Of bombé partly fluted oval form, on four shell and scroll feet, with cast shell and scroll handles, the detachable cover part fluted and with cast rocaille finial, with conforming stand and ladle, marked under tureen, on stand and ladle, the tureen, stand, cover and ladle each marked with a later French tax mark
The stand: 16½ in. (42 cm.) wide
