The octagonal gilt-tooled green leather top, above a panelled frieze with amaranth stringing fitted with four short drawers with ivory escutcheons, the octagonal shaft on splayed quadrapartite legs with brass paw feet and castors, with chalk inscription 'Alexander' to the underside, later handles
