CIRCA 1765, BLUE INTERLACED L MARK, PAINTER’S MARK LG FOR ETIENNE-HENRY LE GUAY, INCISED Jf (?)
Painted with a central floral medallion enclosed by a pink-seeded border reserved with blue-ground panels entwined with garlands, with floral medallions at each corner, the pierced gallery with scrolls and pink and yellow harebells (small flat chip to one corner)

Etienne-Henry Le Guay, l'aîné, later père, was a painter and gilder at Vincennes from 1748 to 1749 and then at Sèvres from 1751 to 1797.
