A GERMAN ENGRAVED GILT-METAL STRIKING TABLE CLOCK WITH ALARM
LATE 16TH CENTURY
The architectural case with spire finials, the front with engraved silver dials for 12 hour time showing the crucifixion, subsidiary alarm showing resurrection and quarters showing birth below, the rear with strike regulation dial and engraved banner ‘La Nostra La Campana’, the steel posted frame and wheelwork with twin gut fusees, alarm barrel and pierced and engraved galleries to the bell stand, adapted and now with rear mounted pendulum
