Of rounded rectangular outline, the black enamel cover and base each millegrain-set with with rose-cut diamond borders, the hinged cover further decorated with a central rose-cut diamond circular motif and similarly-set onyx and diamond thumb piece, opening to reveal a polished gold interior, with further hinged vesta compartment to one end, circa 1925, French marks for gold, 9.2cm wide
