STATUE DU BOUDDHA SHAKYAMUNI EN BRONZE PARTIELLEMENT DORE
CHINE, DYNASTIE MING, XVIEME-XVIIEME SIECLE
Buddha Shakyamuni is seated in vajrasana on an oval plinth placed on a lotus base that rises from the ocean encircled by a hexagonal fence. His right hand shows the bhumisparshamudra while the left rests on his lap. He is dressed in monks robes. His face displays a serene expression with downcast eyes below arched eyebrows. The curled hair run into a low ushnisha topped with a lotus-bud and set to the front with a ratna.
