2o (430 x 292 mm). Engraved title and 114 engraved plates, each with small publishers' blind stamp in lower margin (3 plates shorter, a few with light spotting). Contemporary blue diced half morocco, mottled boards (spine slightly faded, early paper label attached to foot of spine). Provenance: Fürstliche Fürstenbergische Hofbibliothek at Donaueschingen (inkstamp on lower corner of title and verso of final leaf).

FIRST EDITION of Asselineau's collection of illustrations of furniture and objects for the Middle Ages and Renaissance. The work includes examples of domestic furniture, arms and armor, and metalwork from private and royal collections as well as the stock of several Parisian dealers; each illustration features the object's provenance.
