decorated with a crane in flight before the moon, the reverse with driving rain in gilt -- 3.3/4.in (9.5cm) long; another with a shishi among flowers -- 3.3/4.in (9.5cm) long; four gilt-bronze menuki modelled as prunus sprays and figures reading a scroll and playing a musical instrument; and eight various fuchi-kashira, some matched, decorated with a profusion of flowers, birds and boats in river landscapesan eagle, cranes, insects and scrolling motifs.
