Inset town view of New York entitled "Nieuw-Amsterdam onlangs Nieuw Jorck genant," elaborate figural cartouche depicting natives presenting a tribute to a seated English monarch [?George II]. Matted and framed (not examined out of frame).
Seventh state of the map by Hugo Allard belonging to the so-called Jansson-Visscher series with the fine decoration, with the imprint altered to read “Apud Reiner & Josua Ottens.” See also lots 132 and 138. Burden 373; Tooley p.289.
