A Shibayama style ivory miniature picnic box
decorated in gold lacquer hiramakie and inlaid in mother-of-pearl, horn, metal, red lacquer, coral and stained ivory with fan-shaped panels containing flowers and various objects, opening to reveal a tiered cabinet fitted with boxes, drawer and a jar, all similarly inlaid -- 2.3/4.in (7cm) long; attached inlaid ivory ojime with birds; and ivory manju netsuke applied with a gilt-bronze model of a hobbey-horse -- 1.1/2.in (3.8cm)long, signed, some inlay missing on all pieces).
