the silver, the English fully marked comprising a small basket with swing handle, S. Herbert & Co., 1753 ; and a beaker cup incised with a crest and motto, silver-gilt interior, maker's mark 'I.D', 1799; the Continental silver comprising a German wine taster with coiled snake-form handle; a Russian silver beaker cup incised with foliage and birds, 1780-1784; another beaker cup decorated with foliage and blossoms; a German chalice and cover incised with foliage apparently unmarked for fineness; the silver-plate comprising a large pitcher with hinged cover, elaborately repousse with foliage and blossoms, indistinctly marked; a large tankard with hinged cover, indistinctly marked; and a small footed cup and cover, apparently unmarked
