Lot Essay

Accompanied by a Chopard Certificate of Origin dated January 2013, undated Chopard Chronometer Certificate for Serial No. 1'762'970, Chopard presentation box, product literature, and outer packaging.

The Chopard L.U.C. 8HF is the first high-frequency escapement to receive the COSC chronometer certification. It houses a movement that beats at 8Hz, which is 8 times per second. A balance that beats more times per second will be more accurate where small bumps and shocks will have less of an effect on the accuracy of the movement than a lower beat movement.

The L.U.C. 8HF was produced in a limited edition of 100 examples in 2012.
