Lot Essay

Visière eskimo constituée d’un bandeau d’écorce cousu à l’arrière. Six sculptures en ivoire figurant des animaux marins y sont fixées. Cette visière se distingue par l’allongement réduit de sa zone frontale. Voir Dorothy (J., Eskimo art : tradition and innovation in North Alaska, University of Washington Press, 1977, p.83) pour une visière comparable conservée au British Museum.
