A pair of Japanese gilt-bronze flattened rectangular vases
decorated in iroe hirazogan and takazogan with shaped panels of birds among prunus and peonies above a stream and a basket, the reverses with fan-shaped panels of further birds and flowers, river landscapes and Mount Fuji, the sides with ho-o among lotus sprays -- 8.in (20.3cm) high.
