Lot Essay

Ian Fleming-Williams was a scholar and author on the work of John Constable. He wrote several important books on the artist including Constable and his Drawings (1990), and also co-curated Constable: Paintings, Watercolours & Drawings (1976) and Constable (1991) at the Tate, London.
