the hood with pagoda top with brass ball and spire finials on reeded supports flanking a displayed eagle resting on an orb, with blind-fret carving below, sound frets to the sides, moilded break arch, outset brass-fillited reeded columns, the trunk with break arch door, with quatrefoil panel to the plinth on bracket feet and with wavy apron, the brass dial with silvered chapter ring, gilt-metal foliate spandrels, the centre with silvered seconds disc, date aperture, signed Guest WINDSOR, with strike/silent ring in the arch flanked by cornucopia spandrels, the five pillar rack striking movement with anchor escapement -- 98in.(249cm.) high
