Of rectangular form, on four silver drop-shaped feet, the hinged flat lid applied with a central gold openwork medallion composed of a floral bloom on dense scrolling ground between four rosettes, with four silver openwork floral sprays forming a cusped medallion at each corner, the sides applied with cusped silver-openwork panels worked as intricate and scrolling floriated tendrils, the front with faux-key hole framed with foliate motifs, the back with four applied rosettes
