SAFAVID IRAN OR MUGHAL INDIA, EARLY 17TH CENTURY
Each with 25ll. of fine nasta'liq script arranged in four columns between polychrome floral divisions, with illuminated title cartouches, each with one side exquisitely illuminated, one with a dragon fighting a simurgh and other birds, rabbits, lions chasing deer, another with animals hunting and chasing each other in a forested landscape, another with animals within dense floral scroll, the last with dense floral scrolls, each illuminated in gold and polychrome
13 5/8 x 7 ¾in. (32.2 x 19.7cm.)
