QAJAR IRAN, 19TH CENTURY
Each of rectangular form, the first with an intricate lattice of floriated gold quatrefoils reserved on dark garnet ground, the borders with an elegant and continuous gold floral garland on black ground between two band of meandering strapwork, the reverse with two concentric gold frames on black background; the second with gold gul-o bulbul within scrolling borders on black background, the reverse with gold interlocking floriated motifs on red ground framed by floral tendrils
13 x 8 ¼in. (33 x 21cm.) and 12 ½ x 8 ¼in. (31.8 x 21cm.)
