A COPPER RED-GLAZED HIGH-SHOULDERED VASE
18TH-19TH CENTURY
The high-shouldered, tapering body flares above the foot and is covered on the lower body with a crackle-suffused glaze of crushed-strawberry-red color that thins in fine streaks before shading to pale celadon on the upper body and cylindrical neck where it continues over the flared rim onto the interior. The base is covered with a very pale blue-grey, crackled glaze.
