A PAIR OF LARGE GILT-DECORATED BLUE-GROUND JARDINIÈRES
LATE QING DYNASTY
Each is heavily potted and the deep sides are decorated with a design of foliate scroll incorporating shou characters and other auspicious symbols including lotus, peaches, bats, pomegranates and pendent chimes, all in gilding on a powder-blue-colored ground.
