A RARE PAIR OF SMALL CIZHOU-TYPE RUSSET-GLAZED DISHES
NORTHERN SONG DYNASTY (AD 960-1127)
Each has shallow, rounded sides that flare widely to the everted rim, and is covered inside and out with a somewhat metallic russet glaze that ends in a circle around the flat base, exposing the pale grey ware.
