QING CHINA, 18TH CENTURY
Arabic manuscript on buff paper, separately bound in thirty juz', each volume with 5ll. of bold sini within double red rules, sura headings in smaller red sini within red outlined panels, 12 volumes with opening bifolios decorated with gold and polychrome illumination issuing calligraphic roundels into the upper and outer borders, the other 18 with similar illumination without the medallions, the final bifolios of many of the volumes with further floral illumination, each volume in contemporaneous worn cloth covered binding with flaps
