A QINGBAI LOBED EWER AND COVER
SONG DYNASTY, 11TH-12TH CENTURY
The body is potted with eight vertical lobes that rise to incised horizontal bands at the base of the trumpet neck. It is applied with a strap handle attached on top with a small loop. The cover is decorated to the centre with three leaves and a floral bud. It is covered overall with a transparent pale aqua glaze.
