Each with a central strapwork rosette within borders of stylized foliage, above a cushion-molded paneled frieze, on foliate-carved cabriole legs

Lot Essay

The design relates to the works of royal cabinet-maker James Moore (d. 1726) and John Belchier (d. 1753) who supplied a similar table in 1723 for Erddig, Wales (R. Edwards and M. Jourdain, Georgian Cabinet-Makers, London, rev. ed., 1955, p. 136, fig. 31).
