Lot Essay

With Graham fitted presentation box and outer packaging.

Manufactured in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland, Graham timepieces have often been characterized as avant-gardist. With the increasing popularity of their chronograph models, the brand decided to launch a special edition wristwatch paying tribute to Brawn GP.

Founded in 2009, the Brawn GP Formula One Team was created following the exit of the Honda team from the championship. With Jenson Button and Rubens Barrichello as drivers, Brawn GP managed to win the Constructor's championship on its first year of competition. After a highly successful season, Jenson Button further went towards winning the Driver's Championship. In 2010, a majority stake of the team was purchased by Mercedes-Benz, leading them towards being renamed Mercedes GP.
