A LARGE PAIR OF FAMILLE ROSE 'WU SHUANG PU' BALUSTER VASES
19TH CENTURY
Each vase is decorated with various figures from the Wu Shuang Pu, the "Table of Peerless Heroes", each wearing elaborate robes and armour amongst strings of coins, hu-tablets, scrolls and small temples enclosing inscriptions identifying the characters. The sides are applied with two blue-glazed dragon handles.
