A SMALL BRONZE ARCHAISTIC VESSEL AND COVER, YOU
PROBABLY 17TH-18TH CENTURY
The vessel is cast in the form of an archaic fangyou and decorated in low relief with large taotie masks and archaistic birds, all reserved on a leiwen ground. The arched handle is flanked by two mythical animal-head terminals. The cover is similarly decorated and has a stud-shaped finial.
