AN AMBER-TONE-OVERLAY YELLOW GLASS SNUFF BOTTLE
18TH-19TH CENTURY
The snuff bottle is carved through the amber-tone-overlay to the egg yolk yellow ground with a carp emerging from waves below a pavilion to one side, and a crane with a peach sprig below a bat to the other, separated by two pines trees.
2 ½ in. (6.4 cm.) high

The Julia Shackelford Hunter Collection of snuff bottles, acquired 1948-1949.
