A LARGE FAMILLE ROSE BOTTLE VASE
19TH CENTURY
The vase is decorated to the baluster body and cylindrical neck with various birds comprising phoenix, mandarin ducks, doves and butterflies and crickets amongst a dense pattern of lotus, peony, finger citron and peach, divided by bands of endless knots with jewels at the neck, shoulder and foot. There is an apocryphal Hongwu seal mark in blue enamel to the base.
