A WHITE JADE 'DEER' GROUP
QIANLONG PERIOD (1736-1795)
The two recumbent deer are carved facing each other with the horned beast grasping a chrysanthemum spray in its mouth. The underside is carved detailing a leafy stalk and a ruyi spray. The stone is of an even tone.
2 ¾ in. (7 cm.) wide
Provenance
From a private European collection, predominantly assembled in the 1970s and 1980s.
