A LARGE MOTTLED GREEN JADE MODEL OF A WATER BUFFALO
17TH-18TH CENTURY
The recumbent horned buffalo is naturalistically modelled with its forelegs and hindlegs neatly tucked under the body and the head turned to one side. The stone is of a dark green tone with some areas of greyish-black russet inclusions.
9 ¾ in. (23.7 cm.) wide
