AN ARCHAISTIC GILT-BRONZE 'DRAGON' CENSER, DING
17TH CENTURY
The top of the cover is reticulated with a ferocious dragon, surrounded by three small mythical birds. The censer has a concentric band around the body, below two upright handles to the sides and supported on three tall feet. The base has an apocryphal six-character Xuande seal mark.
10 7/8 in. (27.5 cm.) wide across handles
