A RARE INLAID ZITAN BOX AND COVER
17TH CENTURY
The box is of rectangular shape. The top is inlaid with mother-of-pearl, malachite, agate and wood depicting two recumbent buffaloes beside lingzhi and rocks and below a sun hidden by clouds. The base is inset with a mother-of-pearl square tablet with the character bing.
