A SMALL WHITE JADE CYLINDRICAL 'PINE AND CRANE' BRUSH POT
QIANLONG PERIOD (1736-1795)
The skilfully hollowed vessel is intricately carved with a continuous rocky landscape scene, depicting a crane standing on one leg, with its head turned towards another crane in flight. The irregular gaps between the rocks reveal a tall pine tree, a natural spring, and a flowing stream. The semi-translucent stone is of an even pale tone.
3 1/8 in. (8 cm.) high, wood stand, fitted box.
