A BLUE AND WHITE CYLINDRICAL BRUSH POT, BITONG
KANGXI PERIOD (1662-1722)
The brushpot is finely painted in deep shades of cobalt blue with two groups of scholars and officials in a river landscape. The base has a wide unglazed ring encircling the small recessed centre painted with a four-character mark, wen zhang shan dou.
