A HUANGHUALI FIVE-DRAWER ALTAR COFFER, LIANSANCHU
19TH CENTURY
The long rectangular top with everted ends is set above two rows of drawers and is supported on rounded square legs. Each drawer is mounted with a swing handle escutcheon. The shaped apron and side spandrels are pierced and carved with stylised chilong dragons amongst foliate scrolls interspersed with lingzhi fungus.
