Decorated in iron-red and gilt on underglaze blue with a picnic scene in which a courtesan is playing a shamisen, people admiring music and enjoying sake and food beneath blossoming cherry trees, lappets of flowers and birds to the shoulder, the foot and the cover, the finial with karakusa and flowers
