EDO PERIOD, LATE 17TH CENTURY
Decorated in iron-red and gilt on underglaze blue with alternate fan shaped and lobed panels depicting blossoming cherry trees, peonies and a river landscape, the shoulder with half chrysanthemum-flowerheads on a karakusa ground, the cover similarly decorated, the finial in the form of a sacred pearl
