LOTS 1323 — 1328FORMERLY IN THE COLLECTION OF LI GUANGZHAOThe artist and collector Li Guangzhao, also known as Li Jia, sobriquet Zigu, was a native of An’hui. During the Republican era he worked as manager of the Shanghai branch of the Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation, and after 1949, served as council member of the Shanghai Finance and Trade Committee. An adept calligrapher, Li specialised in calligraphy in the style of Su Shi. Lot 1328 is a fine example of Li’s oeuvre.
